Governance Role-Call For Nominations

The Minister of Energy is seeking nominations for members of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).
The authority, established by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, is responsible for encouraging, promoting and supporting energy efficiency, energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources in New Zealand.
In essence, EECA works to improve the energy choices made in New Zealand.
Members of the authority must have knowledge and experience in matters relevant to the responsibilities of the authority (as required by section 25 of the Act).
This may include knowledge of and experience in:
? governance and public sector management
? the transport sector
? the energy sector, including transport energy
? the environment
? community organisations and consumer issues
? commerce, marketing and communications
? science and technology.
