Integrated Primary and Secondary Schools in the Catholic Dioceses of Palmerston North, Dunedin and Hamilton and the Archdiocese of Wellington (Attendance Dues) Notice 2004

Pursuant to section 36 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues at the schools in the Catholic Dioceses of Palmerston North, Dunedin and Hamilton and the Archdiocese of Wellington.
N o t i c e
1. This notice shall be cited as the Integrated Primary and Secondary Schools in the Catholic Dioceses of Palmerston North, Dunedin and Hamilton and the Archdiocese of Wellington (Attendance Dues) Notice 2004.
2. The proprietors of the integrated schools referred to above may enter into an agreement with the parents or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the aforesaid schools by requiring them to pay attendance dues.
3. The attendance dues payable in respect of the integrated schools owned by the proprietor in each of the above-named dioceses and archdiocese shall be a maximum of $335.00 (exclusive of G.S.T.) per annum per student from Year 1 to Year 8 and a maximum of $671.00 (exclusive of G.S.T.) per annum per student from Year 9 to Year 13, effective from
1 January 2005.
4. Attendance dues received by the proprietors shall be used for the purpose of applying for such improvements
to, or for such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated facilities of the integrated schools included in this notice as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education, pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens or other charges associated with
any of the land and buildings that constitute the integrated schools.
