WHEREAS-
A. I have received a warrant from Her Excellency the Governor-General, to supply a member of Parliament
to fill a vacancy created by the application of section 55A of the Electoral Act 1993 to Donna Lynn Awatere Huata;
B. Under section 137 (2) of the Electoral Act 1993, I have determined that of the unelected candidates on the
party list of the ACT New Zealand Party, Kenneth Xiaoxuan Wang stood highest in the order of preference on that list;
C. Under section 137 (3) of that Act, I have asked the Secretary of the ACT New Zealand Party whether Kenneth Xiaoxuan Wang remains a member of that party and I have been informed that he remains a member of that party;
D. Under section 137 (4) of that Act, I have asked Kenneth Xiaoxuan Wang whether he is willing to be a member of Parliament and he has indicated his willingness to be
a member of Parliament.
THEREFORE, pursuant to section 137 (4) of that Act,
I, David Robert Henry, Chief Electoral Officer, declare
Kenneth Xiaoxuan Wang
to be elected a member of Parliament.
