Pursuant to section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 5 (1) of the Family Courts Act 1980, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased
to appoint
Gregory Francis Hikaka, barrister of Auckland
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the jurisdiction of the Family Courts with effect from
15 November 2004; and
Emma Smith, solicitor of New Plymouth
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the jurisdiction of the Family Courts with effect from
18 November 2004.
