Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette,
19 June 2003, page 1807, regarding the direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for Ahuroa School Board of Trustees.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in the limited statutory manager:
? Employment powers of the board;
? curriculum management;
? management of communications and relationships between the school and its community; and
? ensuring areas of improvement identified in the June 2004 Education Review Office report are actioned.
The limited statutory manager must also advise the board
on issues relating to its governance role.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication of this notice.
