Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette,
18 September 2003, page 3575, regarding the direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for Te Kura o Matahi Board of Trustees.
The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in the limited statutory manager:
? Ensuring areas of improvement identified in the June 2004 Education Review Office report are actioned;
? board organisation and management;
? employment powers of the board; and
? financial management.
The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following:
? Strategic planning and school wide self-review.
This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.
