Pursuant to section 20 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries after having regard to the matters specified in section 21 of the Act, gives the following notice.

1. Title and commencement-(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Amendment Notice 2004.
(2) This notice comes into force on 30 September 2004.
2. Application-This notice applies on and after 1 October 2004.
3. Interpretation-In this notice, "the principal notice" means the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986 (SR1986/267).
4. Total allowable commercial catch for bluenose-The First Schedule to the principal notice is amended by omitting item B of the items relating to bluenose and inserting the following items:

5. Total allowable commercial catch for elephant fish-The First Schedule to the principal notice is amended by omitting item E of the items relating to elephant fish and inserting the following item:
