Notice of Intention to Destroy Public Archives

Pursuant to section 17 of the Archives Act 1957, the
Chief Archivist hereby gives notice of her intention to destroy the public archives described in this notice on the grounds that they are not worth permanent preservation.
The archives are generally described as follows:
Closed Administration and Complaints Records of
the Office of the Ombudsmen between the years
1962 and 1990.
The full lists of public archives described in this notice may be inspected at Archives New Zealand, 10 Mulgrave Street, Wellington, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., Monday to Friday, by quoting reference D2710 or by contacting the Manager, Arrangement & Description.
Any person may, within one month after the date of publication of this notice, lodge an objection to the destruction of the public archives described in this notice with the Minister responsible for Archives New Zealand, stating the grounds of the objection and the items which are the subject of the objection.
