Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992,
full recognition has been granted for the Sport Fitness and Recreation Industry Training Organisation Limited to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the sports, fitness and recreation industry including the planning, management, promotion and delivery of sport, fitness, community recreation, outdoor recreation, diving (excluding aquaculture) and snowsport industries for a further period of five years with effect from 26 June 2004.
