The Board of the Tertiary Education Commission
Te Amorangi Matauranga Matua approved, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, full recognition for the New Zealand Flooring Industry Training Organisation Incorporated to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the flooring industry in the following areas:
Production, distribution, sales, and installation of resilient/soft flooring and associated flooring surfaces excluding the production, distribution, sales, installation and maintenance of flooring surfaces such as slate, cement/clay tiles and pavers, ceramic tiles and natural stone, and liquid floor coatings, seamless flooring and screeds;
for a further period of five years with effect from
27 November 2003.
