Ground, Pauatahanui
I, Graeme Richard Gillespie, Manager, Public Health Programmes, Ministry of Health, acting under delegation from the Minister of Health, make the following directions under the Burial and Cremation Act 1964 ("the Act"):
1. Under section 41 (1) of the Act, the denominational burial ground, being the land known as the Pauatahanui Burial Ground, Pauatahanui, being the land described in the Schedule to this notice ("the ground"), shall be closed subject to the exceptions and qualifications
set out in paragraph 2 below, and burials there shall be discontinued from and including 4 December 2004;
2. This closing order shall be subject to the following exception and qualification:
(a) That any person who has purchased a burial plot in the ground before 4 December 2004 may be buried in the ground;
(b) Under section 44 of the Act, the control and management of the ground is vested in the Porirua City Council as from 4 June 2004.
