Ground, Rangiora
Pursuant to section 41 (1) of the Burial and Cremation
Act 1964 and section 15 of the Interpretation Act 1999,
I, Graeme Gillespie, Manager, Public Health Programmes, acting under delegation from the Minister of Health, hereby:
1. Amend the conditions to the closing of the denominational burial ground known as the Church
of England Burial Ground, Rangiora ("the ground") and published in the New Zealand Gazette,
2 September 1999, No. 108, page 2599, notice No. 6334 ("closure notice"), as follows.
2. This closure notice is subject to the following amended conditions:
(a) The front portion of the ground fronting Ashley Street, Rangiora, and described as Lot 1 on
DP 326832, containing 9376 square metres, being part of the land in Computer Register CB35C/779, will continue to be used for burials as set out in the original Notice of Consecration attached to the closure notice.
(b) The remaining portion of the ground (other than the portion described in condition 2 (a) above) fronting Edward Street, Rangiora, and described as Lots 2-12 inclusive on DP 326832, containing 1.0488 hectares, being the balance of the land
in Computer Register CB35C/779, is excluded from section 42 and section 44 (4) of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964 and, accordingly, that portion may be subdivided and sold.
