Pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training Organisation is granted full recognition to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the plastics industry (defined as the conversion of polymers into end products or componentry for other products, including but not limited to plastics moulding, extruding, forming, conversion and fabrication processes); glass production, glass processing and glass engineering for
glass blowing and bottle manufacturing; paint, ink, resin and adhesives manufacturing for a further period of five years with effect from 19 February 2004.
