Notice Specifying Fish Species Which May be Farmed (2004) (No. F279)

Pursuant to Regulation 2 of the Freshwater Fish Farming Regulations 1983, I hereby specify the following species to be fish for the purposes of those Regulations:
(1.1) Abalone or paua, being:
(i) Ordinary paua (Haliotis iris)
(ii) Yellow-foot paua (Haliotis australis)
(iii) Virgin paua (Haliotis virginea)
(1.2) Bass (Polyprion moeone)
(1.3) Blue cod (Parapercis colias)

The previous notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 25 June 1998, No. 85, page 1942, specifying fish species which may be farmed, is hereby revoked.
