Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 11
of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), I have terminated a dumping investigation in respect of reinforcing steel bar and coil from Malaysia (the "subject goods").
These goods are described in the Notice of Initiation of Dumping Investigation dated the 10th day of September 2003 (New Zealand Gazette, 18 September 2003, No. 132, page 3574) as "Reinforcing steel bar and coil with a diameter equal to or greater than 5mm and less than or equal to 40mm" imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand.
I have terminated the investigation in respect of the subject goods from Malaysia because I am satisfied that, under section 11 (1) (b) of the Act, there is insufficient evidence that material injury to a New Zealand industry has been or
is being caused or is threatened or the establishment of a New Zealand industry has been or is being materially retarded by means of the dumping of the goods.
