Pursuant to the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, the Minister of Energy gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Under section 37 (4) of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, I give notice that the following amendments to the following standards which are listed in Schedules 1 and 2 of the Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002 are part of the Regulations:
Amendments 2 and 3 to AS/NZS 4474.1:1997 Performance of household electrical appliances - Refrigerating appliances Part 1: Energy consumption and performance; and
Amendments 1, 2 and 3 to AS/NZS 4474.2:2001 Performance of household electrical appliances - Refrigerating appliances Part 2: Energy labelling and minimum energy performance standard requirements.
2. These amendments take effect as part of the Regulations on the seventh day after the date of publication of this notice in
the New Zealand Gazette.

Explanatory Note
The Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002 ("the Regulations") incorporate by reference certain standards. The standards incorporated by reference that relate to household refrigerating appliances have been amended. This notice specifies the date upon which the amendments to the standards take effect as part of the Regulations.
