I give notice that, in accordance with section 91 of the Retirement Villages Act 2003, I invite written submissions on the draft code of practice to be received at my office by Monday, 7 March 2005.
The code of practice covers:
? Staffing of retirement village.
? Safety and personal security of residents.
? Fire protection and emergency management.
? Transfer of residents within retirement village.
? Meetings of residents with operator and resident involvement.
? Complaints facility.
? Accounts.
? Maintenance and upgrading.
? Termination of occupation right agreement by operator or resident.
? Communication.
