Pursuant to section 129 (6) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to a subdelegation from the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager Safer Roads, authorise the erection, installation and maintenance of the warning sign described in the Schedule to this notice.
The sign may be used in substitution for the sign described as P8 Aircraft in Part 2, Fourth Schedule to the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Description of Traffic Sign
The helicopter permanent warning sign, to advise road users that helicopters fly low over the road ahead, must conform to the layout depicted in the diagram below and be in accordance with the following.
1. Shape and size
Diamond 600mm square
2 Background colour
Reflectorised yellow
3. Border
Black, 25mm wide
4. Legend
Black, symbol of helicopter, height 250mm width 500mm
