Pursuant to the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, the Minister of Energy gives the following notice.

1. Under section 37 (4) of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, I give notice that the following amendment to the following standard, which is listed in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of the Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002, is revoked:
Amendment A to AS/NZS 3823.2:2003 Performance of electrical appliances - Airconditioners and heat pumps - Part 2: Energy labelling and minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) requirements.
2. Under section 37 (4) of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, I give notice that the following amendment to the following standard, which is listed in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of the Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002, is part of the Regulations:
Amendment 1 to AS/NZS 3823.2:2003 Performance of electrical appliances - Airconditioners and heat pumps - Part 2: Energy labelling and minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) requirements.
3. These amendments take effect as part of the Regulations on the seventh day after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Explanatory Note
The Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002 ("the Regulations") incorporate by reference certain standards. A standard incorporated by reference that relates to air conditioners has been amended. This notice specifies the date upon which the amendment to the standard takes effect as part of the Regulations.
