Pursuant to Regulation 90B of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and under delegated authority, I, John Andrew Justice, Principal Vehicle Engineer, Safer Vehicles Policy, approve any alternative fuel system installed on or after 1 July 2005, provided
the installation and operation complies with the requirements of the applicable AS/NZS standard specified in Schedule 1.
I also approve any alternative fuel system installed prior to 1 July 2005, provided that such system is or was installed
in accordance with the applicable standard specified in Schedule 1.
No system installed on or after 1 July 2005, may be installed and/or operated in accordance with the requirements of the applicable standard specified in Schedule 2.
Any alternative fuel system installed prior to 1 July 2005 in accordance with the applicable standard specified in Schedule
2, but modified on or after 1 July 2005, must be brought into compliance with the applicable standard specified in Schedule 1.
