Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 71.9 (d), made by the Ministry of Transport pursuant to Part III of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, the following amendments are designated with effect from 25 November 2004-
New Zealand Flight Information Region
? The following military operations areas are disestablished:
Karioi Forest (NZM 310).
? The following military operations areas have lateral or vertical boundary amendments:

? The following danger areas are disestablished:

? The Bunnythorpe visual reporting point is renamed to Bunnythorpe Substation.
? The following visual reporting points are established:
Hamurana, Two Chain, Pylons, Northlands Mall, Mount Glenmary, Ohau Turnoff, Killermont Station, Tarras, Queensbury, Mount Barker, Timaru River Mouth, Matukituki River Mouth, Treble Cone Ski Field, Mount Aspiring Homestead, Kaituna Bridge, Spring Creek, Taylor Dam.
? The following general aviation areas (GAA) are disestablished:
NZG 671 (Maxwell).
? The following general aviation areas (GAA) have new alphanumeric codes (in brackets):
NZG 972 (Omarama, NZG 957), NZG 973 (Ida, NZG 956), NZG 974 (Two Thumbs, NZG 958).
? All parachute drop zones are replaced as non-designated parachute landing areas (alphanumeric codes and aeronautical chart symbols remain unchanged).
? The New Zealand transition layer is amended with the transition altitude changing from 11,000ft AMSL to 13,000ft AMSL and the transition level changes from FL130 to FL150. All New Zealand QNH zones are amended to an upper limit of 13,000ft AMSL.
Auckland Oceanic Flight Information Region
? The following new danger areas are established:
NZD 021 (East Auckland Oceanic FIR), NZD 022 (East Auckland Oceanic FIR).
? The upper limit of Auckland Oceanic upper controlled airspace (OCA/A) is amended to FL600. The Auckland OCA/A (NZA 050 and NZA 051) is designated as transponder mandatory.
? The Norfolk Island and Rarotonga area QNH zones are amended from an upper limit of 11,000ft to an upper limit of 13,000ft, due to the Part 71 transition layer amendment.
? The following mandatory broadcast zones (MBZ) have new alphanumeric codes (in brackets):
YSC 010 (Norfolk Island, YSB 073), NFA 070 (Ha'apai, NFB 074), NFA 071 (Niuatoputapu, NFB 075), NFA 072 (Vava'u, NFB 076).
