Notice is hereby given that the Grey District Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto (referred to as "the land"):
? The land is required for roading purposes. It is intended to use the land as part of a roading system. The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary for the safe and convenient use of the road. The Taylorville/Blackball Road has been formed over this land and the freehold interest in these areas has been acquired. There is no alternative route for the road and no other method of achieving the objectives.
? The land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.
? The owner of the interest in the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Grey District Council's intention to take the interest in the land and advised of their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send
a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice,
a public hearing will be held.
The objector will have a right to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector otherwise requires.
Each objector will be informed of the time and place of
the hearing.

Westland Land District-Grey District
All interests contained in certificate of title WS2A/1040 (minerals only), Westland Registry, in those pieces of
land containing 3.1687 hectares, being parts of Sections
8, 9, 10 and 13, Block IX, Mawheranui Survey District; as shown as areas "A", "B" and "C" on S.O. Plan 10466;
areas "B", "C", "D" and "E" on S.O. Plan 12592 and area "A" on S.O. Plan 12603. All plans lodged with a Land Information New Zealand Processing Centre.
A copy of the plan may be seen at the Grey District Council Office, 105 Tainui Street, Greymouth and at the Grey District Library, Albert Street, Greymouth.
The land to be taken is formed as road and is situated approximately 14 kilometres north-east of Greymouth.
