Notice is given, in accordance with section 23 (1) (b) of the Public Works Act 1981, that the Waitakere City Council ("the council") proposes to take the land situated at
14 Trading Place, Henderson, and more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, for a public work as follows:
? The council is comprehensively redeveloping a town centre precinct in Henderson bounded by Ratanui Street and Trading Place involving resubdivision of a number of existing landholdings including the subject of this notice, owned by Forward Specialities (1988) Limited. The council intends to provide substantial additional public car parking at this location through construction of a multi-level parking building utilising the footprint provided by Lot 14, D.P. 45417 and certain contiguous lands in conjunction with such redevelopment, which will also provide for a new public library amenity and associated spaces, supported by new roading connections.
? The owner and any persons having a registered interest in the land have been served with notice of the council's intention to take the land and right to object.
Any other person wishing to object to the proposed taking
of the said land may forward a written objection to
the Registrar, Environment Court, Department of Courts, P.O. Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland, within
20 working days of the date of publication of this notice.
If you make an objection in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held and you will be advised of the time and place of the hearing and will have the right to appear and be heard.
