Notice Redefining the Purposes of a Maori Reservation

Whereas by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 10 November 1949, No. 69, page 2637, the Maori freehold lands known as Mimitu Ruarei 22J and Mimitu Ruarei 22K1 created by partition orders dated 6 December 1943 and
18 January 1949 respectively were set apart as a Maori reservation for the common use of the Maori people of the Pakotai District as a recreation ground and hall site.
And whereas Mimitu Ruarei 4C, Mimitu Ruarei 5B2 and Mimitu Ruarei 12 blocks were partitioned by Court orders 19 April 1926, 17 October 1935 and 29 January 1914 respectively and an amalgamated partition by Court order dated 6 December 1943 to create Mimitu Ruarei 22J.
And whereas Mimitu Ruarei 22K was partitioned by Court orders dated 6 December 1943 and 18 January 1949 to create Mimitu 22K1.
And whereas pursuant to section 338 (5) (c) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the purpose is redefined by giving name to the Maori Reservation that shall be known as Te Oru Oru in respect of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

1.5339 Mimitu Ruarei 22K1, situated in Block V, Mangakahia Survey District, being all of the land contained in partition orders dated 6 December 1943 and 18 January 1949.
