Section 24 (A) of the Reserves Act 1977 allows the Queenstown Lakes District Council ("the council") to change the purpose of a local purpose reserve.
Under the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977, the council passed a resolution at its meeting of 23 May 2003 to change the purpose from local purpose (off street parking and site for an ambulance garage) reserve to local purpose (community buildings and off street parking) reserve in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

All that piece of land, being 3536 square metres, more or less, and described as Section 10, Block XI, Town of Wanaka (New Zealand Gazette, 17 January 1985, page 140), S.O. Plan 13984.
