Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from a scenic reserve to a local purpose (community facility) reserve and, further, vests the reserve in the Timaru District Council in trust as a local purpose (community facility) reserve.
