Under the Resource Management Act 1991, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation with the prior written agreement of the
Clutha District Council, declares that the esplanade reserve described in the Schedule shall cease to be vested in and administered by the District Council but instead shall vest
in the Crown and be classified as a Government purpose (wildlife management) reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977.
