Notice Title

Termination of Dumping Investigation: Portland Cement From Thailand

Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 11
of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"), I have terminated a dumping investigation in respect of general purpose and high early strength (rapid hardening) Portland cement from Thailand (the "subject goods").
These goods are described in the Notice of Initiation of Dumping Investigation of 6 June 2003 (New Zealand Gazette, 19 June 2003, No. 67, page 1806) as "General Purpose Portland Cement" imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand.
I have terminated the investigation because I am satisfied that, under section 11 (1) (b) of the Act, there is insufficient evidence that material injury to a New Zealand industry has been or is being caused or is threatened or the establishment of a New Zealand industry has been or is being materially retarded by means of the dumping or subsidisation of the goods.
Dated at Christchurch this 30th day of November 2003.
LIANNE DALZIEL, Minister of Commerce.
