Pursuant to section 4 of the Judicature Act 1908,
Her Excellency the Governor-General, in the name and
on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, has been pleased
to appoint
John Gerard Fogarty, one of Her Majesty's Counsel of Christchurch
to be a Judge of the High Court, the appointment to take effect on 13 November 2003.
