Pursuant to the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, the Minister of Energy gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Under section 37 (4) of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2000, I give notice that the following amendment to the following standard, which is listed in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of the Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002, is part of the Regulations:
2003 Revision to AS/NZS 3823.2:2001 Performance of electrical appliances - Air conditioners and heat pumps - Energy labelling and minimum energy performance standard (MEPS) requirements.
2. This amendment takes effect as part of the Regulations on the 7th day after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Explanatory Note
The Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002 incorporate by reference certain standards. The standard incorporated by reference that relates to air conditioners and heat pumps has been amended. This notice specifies the date upon which the amendment to the standard takes effect as part of the Regulations.
