In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982
Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act
1982, notice is hereby given that on 10 June 2003 and 3 July 2003, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:
(a) That Peter Amarat Rama be suspended from practice as a barrister or as a solicitor, or as both for a period of two years commencing 3 July 2003.
(b) That Peter Amarat Rama pays the costs of
the Wellington District Law Society (including the expenses of P. B. Candy of $316.00) in the sum
of $20,872.12.
(c) That in respect of the costs of the tribunal Peter Amarat Rama pay the sum of $8,085.70.
