The Board of the Tertiary Education Commission
Te Amorangi Matauranga Matua approved, pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992, provisional recognition for the Plastics and Materials Processing Industry Training Organisation Incorporated for the following industries for a period of up to nine months to set standards for Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the plastics industry (defined as the conversion of polymers into end products or componentry for other products, including but not limited to plastics moulding, extruding, forming, conversion and fabrication processes); glass production, glass processing and glass engineering for glass blowing and bottle manufacturing; and the paint, ink, resin and adhesives manufacture sectors.
