Pursuant to section 70 of the Education Act 1989, acting under a delegation from the Secretary for Education, I hereby give notice that the design standards required to be met
by boards of trustees of all State schools, when they are designing school buildings and facilities, are contained in Chapter 3 of the Design Standard Guidelines.
A copy of the Design Standard Guidelines is published on the Ministry of Education's web site:

For those schools without access to the web site, boards should contact the Ministry of Education's local offices to obtain a copy.
This notice shall take effect on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
