Pursuant to sections 5 and 28B of the District Courts Act 1947, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Peter John Butler, barrister and solicitor of
Palmerston North
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part IIA
of the District Courts Act 1947 on and from 22 May 2003;
and to appoint:
Stephen James O'Driscoll, barrister and solicitor of Dunedin
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part IIA
of the District Courts Act 1947 on and from 29 May 2003.
