The Board of the Tertiary Education Commission
Te Amorangi Matauranga Matua approved, pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992 (as amended), provisional recognition to the New Zealand Flooring Industry Training Organisation for a period of nine months with effect from 27 February 2003, to set standards for Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework
for the flooring industry in the following areas:
Production, distribution, sales and installation of resilient/soft flooring and associated flooring surfaces excluding the production, distribution, sales, installation and maintenance of flooring surfaces such as slate, cement/clay tiles and pavers, ceramic tiles and natural stone and liquid floor coatings, seamless flooring and screeds.
