I, Helen Elizabeth Clark, Prime Minister, acting pursuant to section 28B of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and having regard to the specialist knowledge of relevant agencies, hereby designate the Maritime Safety Authority to administer the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 for the maritime sector, specifically for ships.
The scope of this designation is to administer the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 for work on board ships and for ships as places of work.
