The Board of Skill New Zealand - Pukenga Aotearoa, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992 and having consulted with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, afforded recognition to the Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation Incorporated to set standards at Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the building and construction, fibrous plastering, solid plastering, tiling, and cement and concrete industries for a further period of five years with effect from 5 January 2003.
