Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976,
and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated
9 June 1997, I, Peter Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato District) Notice 2003.
2. Those localities and roads shown within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plans numbered:
TT0318/1, entitled "Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horsham Downs, Matangi, near Raglan, near Tamahere, Scotsman Valley, Tamahere, Te Kowhai"; and
TT0318/3, entitled "Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horotiu, Raglan, Rotowaro, Taupiri,
Te Rapa Dairy Factory, Whatawhata",
and held by the head office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:
(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or
(b) 70 kilometres per hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plans and legends are hereby incorporated into this notice.
3. Only the following plans which form part of the Traffic (Waikato District) Notice 2001* are revoked:
TT0118/1, entitled "Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horsham Downs, Matangi, near Raglan, near Tamahere, Scotsman Valley, Tamahere, Te Kowhai"; and
TT9918/3, entitled "Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horotiu, Raglan, Rotowaro, Taupiri,
Te Rapa Dairy Factory, Whatawhata".
