Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962,
and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the
Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated
9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hurunui District) Notice No. 2, 2003.
2. Those localities and roads on the plan numbered
LT03/57/2, entitled "Gazetted Speed Restrictions for Roads at Hanmer Springs", and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, and indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on that plan, are declared to be:
(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962; or
(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;
as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.
3. The Traffic (Amuri County) Notice No. 1, 1984* signed on the 20th day of March 1984 is revoked.
4. Only that part of the Schedule that relates to Argelins Road at Hanmer Springs of the Traffic (Hurunui District) Notice 1997** signed on the 30th day of September 1997 is revoked.
