Pursuant to sections 52 (1) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated
the 9th day of June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Western Bay of Plenty District) Notice, 2003.
2. (a) The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.
(b) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
3. The First Schedule only of the Traffic (Te Puke Borough and Tauranga County) Notice No. 1, 1980* (that relates to No. 2 Road, formerly situated in Tauranga County) is revoked.
4. The Traffic (Western Bay of Plenty District) Notice
No. 2, 1998** is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Paengaroa:
Blacks Road: From Old Coach Road to a point 300 metres measured easterly, generally, along Blacks Road from Conway Road.
Conway Road.
Hall Road.
Old Coach Road: From State Highway No. 33
(Te Ngae-Paengaroa) to a point 100 metres measured southerly, generally, along Old Coach Road from Sunset Drive.
Sunset Drive.
Tutea Place.
Wilson Road South: From Old Coach Road to a point 390 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along Wilson Road South from Hall Road.
Second Schedule
Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Paengaroa:
State Highway No. 33 (Te Ngae-Paengaroa): From a point 60 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Partridge Lane to a point 150 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from Lemon Road.
Taupata Road.
Wilson Road South: From a point 390 metres
measured north-easterly from Hall Road to 400
metres measured north-easterly from McKenzie Road.
