Vehicle Inspection
Pursuant to section 115 (2) of the Land Transport Act 1998 ("the Act") and under delegated authority, I, John Patrick White, Manager Safer Vehicles, authorise the persons in Schedule 2 to issue new evidence of vehicle inspection for a vehicle in Schedule 1.
Schedule 1
A vehicle that has been issued with a notice directing that it is not to be driven on a road under:
(a) section 96 (1B) of the Act by an enforcement
officer who seizes or impounds (or authorises the impoundment of) the vehicle under section 96 (1A); or
(b) section 115 (1) of the Act by an enforcement officer who believes that it is being operated with a silencer that is not effective or in good working order in breach of Regulation 81 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
Schedule 2
Vehicle inspectors who are employed by:
New Zealand Automobile Association Incorporated
On Road New Zealand Limited
Vehicle Inspection NZ Limited
Vehicle Testing New Zealand Limited
