Her Excellency The Governor-General has advised that Her Majesty The Queen has approved the retention of the title "The Honourable" by:
Richard Alexander HERON (Deceased 30 March 2002. Her Majesty's approval to the grant of the title was signified before the date of decease)
and
Robert Andrew McGECHAN
on their retirement, on 1 and 6 February 2002 respectively, as permanent Judges of the High Court of New Zealand.
