Notice of Intention to Promote a Private Bill
The Anglican Church Property Trustees ("the CPT") at Christchurch, gives notice that it intends to promote
a private Bill "The Anglican (Diocese of Christchurch) Church Property Trust Bill" ("the Bill") by petitioning the House of Representatives ("the House") that the Bill be introduced into the House.
The objects of the Bill are to:
? consolidate and modernise legislation that relates to the property of the Anglican Church in the Diocese of Christchurch;
? widen the investment powers of the Church Property Trustees; and
? apply the variation of Trust provisions in the Anglican Church Trusts Act 1981.
The promoter of the Bill is the Church Property Trustees at Christchurch.
