Notice of Intention to Promote a Private Bill
The Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind, a body corporate constituted under the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind Act 1963, gives notice that it intends to promote a private Bill under the short title of
"The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind Act 2002".
The objects of the Bill are to:
(a) Clarify the foundation's status as a body that is controlled primarily by, and operates for the benefit of, people who are blind and vision impaired;
(b) To modernise the foundation's structure, giving it characteristics of an incorporated society;
(c) To provide for the possible future registration of
the foundation as a society incorporated under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908.
The promoter of the Bill is the Royal New Zealand Foundation for the Blind.
Communication or notices to the promoter concerning the Bill may be sent to its solicitors:

A copy of the Bill may be inspected in accordance with the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives during office hours at:
(i) The District Court, 65-69 Albert Street, Auckland; or
(ii) The offices of Buddle Findlay, Barristers and Solicitors, State Insurance Tower, 1 Willis Street, Wellington.
