Pursuant to section 20 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries, after having regard to the matters specified in section 21 of that Act, gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title and Commencement-(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Amendment Notice 2002.
(2) This notice comes into force on 30 September 2002.
2. Interpretation-In this notice, "principal notice" means the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986 (SR 1986/267).
3. Total allowable commercial catch for elephant fish-The first Schedule to the principal notice is amended by omitting item D of the item relating to elephant fish and inserting the following item:
D South-East (Coast) and South-East (Chatham Rise combined 3 & 4 950
4. Total allowable commercial catch for Ling-The first Schedule to the principal notice is amended by omitting item
A of the item relating to ling and inserting the following item:

5. Total allowable commercial catch for orange roughy-The first Schedule to the principal notice is amended by omitting the items B, C, and D of the item relating to orange roughy and inserting the following items:
