Pursuant to Regulation 15 of the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992, I, Hugh Francis Malcolm Logan, Director-General of Conservation, hereby give notice that for a period of 10 years from the date of this notice, no permits shall be granted for commercial vessel operations to view southern right whales around the Auckland Islands (defined here as all those waters surrounding the Auckland Islands out to 12 nautical miles) for the months April-October inclusive.
