Special Transfer Allowance Amendment 2002

Pursuant to section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister of Social Services and Employment establishes and approves the following Amendment to the Special Transfer Allowance programme (as established and approved on 13 November 2000).

A m e n d m e n t
1. Title-(1) This is the Special Transfer Allowance Amendment 2002.
(2) In this Amendment, the Special Transfer Allowance Programme 2000 is called "the programme".
2. Commencement-This Amendment comes into effect on 1 April 2002.
3. Increasing Average Regional Rentals-The Schedule of the programme is amended by omitting the expressions "139", "118", "88", "189", "152" and "127", and substituting the expressions "143", "121", "89", "191", "153" and "128" respectively.

Explanatory Note:
This note is not part of the Amendment, but is intended to explain its general effect.
This Amendment, which comes into effect on 1 April 2002, increases the average regional rentals set out in the Schedule of the Special Transfer Allowance Programme 2000 to reflect movements in rentals.
