Pursuant to section 4A (1) and 4C of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education, by and through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, acting under delegated authority, gives the following notice.
N o t i c e
1. Title and commencement-(1) This notice may be cited as Education (Foreign Students) Notice 2002.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
2. Foreign students entitled to enrol at State schools and exempt from payment of fees-A foreign student who is in New Zealand to study under an exchange programme approved by the New Zealand Government is entitled to enrol at a State school and is exempt from the payment of all fees required to be paid under section 4B of the Education Act 1989.
3. Amendment to Education (Domestic Students) Notice 2001-This notice amends the Education (Domestic Students) Notice 2001, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 February 2001, page 247, by deleting paragraph (a) of clause 2 of that notice.
