Nelson Region Hospice Trust

Notice of Application for Approval of a Scheme
Pursuant to Part III of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957
Notice is hereby given that the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board ("the NMDHB") has filed in the office of the High Court at Wellington an application
for approval of a scheme authorising it to transfer to
the Nelson Region Hospice Trust ("the NRHT") various monies, including bequests by the late Sally Ann McCormack, which have been held for charitable purposes for the provision of a hospice within the Nelson Hospital or for the care and treatment of cancer patients or for the acquisition of equipment to assist in the early diagnosis of cancer.
The objects of the NRHT include the construction, maintenance and operation of a hospice in the Nelson region for the care and treatment of terminally ill and all home care services associated with such care and treatment.
The application has been set down for hearing in the High Court at Wellington on the 28th day of May 2002.
Any person desiring to oppose the scheme is required to give notice of his or her intention to do so to the Registrar of the High Court at Wellington and to the NMDHB at Nelson and to the Attorney-General not less than 7 clear days before the above-mentioned date.
