Heavy Vehicles
In accordance with section 161 (2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, the Land Transport Safety Authority (LTSA), on behalf of the Minister of Transport, gives notice of his intention to make a rule concerning heavy vehicles, and advises that the proposed Land Transport Rule: Heavy Vehicles is now available for public comment.
This draft legislation proposes requirements that will contribute towards the safe operation of heavy vehicles on New Zealand's roads.

The draft rule is also available for viewing at the LTSA's seven regional offices.
Copies of the draft rule have been made available to groups and individuals who have expressed an interest in the rule.
